Tori Sparks 2.0: Building Creative Pathways in Tech, Design & Innovation

I'm excited to share the next chapter in my journey as a creative technology educator, designer, and program leader. Over the past year, I’ve worked across multiple lab locations to help young people develop identity, purpose, and possibility through future-ready tools and real-world challenges.

From app development and esports to virtual museums and motion capture avatars, students under my mentorship have pushed the boundaries of what education can be—developing technical fluency, creative confidence, and professional pathways in the process.

A Leader with Vision and Versatility

• Certified District C Coach – I guide students in solving real-world problems with companies like Cisco and Skillsoft.

• National Board–Certified Teacher – I hold the highest standards in pedagogy, reflection, and student-centered design.

• Graduate Student in the MEITE Program at UNC Chapel Hill – My master's work in Educational Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship strengthens everything I build.

• Expertise in Unreal Engine, Twinmotion, UEFN – I empower students to design interactive worlds, immersive museums, and simulation-based tools.

• Creative Studio Collaboration – My background in ceramics, graphic design, animation, and media production helps me guide students in merging storytelling and tech across disciplines.

2024–2025 Lab Highlights and Student Achievements

• Over 700 student sign-ins across lab days, drop-ins, and seated sessions

• Apple App Contest finalists – Student app project now in continued development with Apple

• District video recognition – Honored for storytelling, video production, and media design

• Custom GPTs for learning support – Developed 3 SparkLab-specific AI assistants (with more on the way)

• 3D virtual museums – Created in Fortnite/UEFN to showcase personal brands and narratives

• Motion capture avatars – Students designed and animated digital identities

• Broadcast and video lab – Developed student-led studio to livestream events, showcase speakers, and support theatre/set design

What I’m Building Next

With a focus on identity-driven design, digital storytelling, and hands-on innovation, I’m working to shape what’s next in high school tech education. My goal is to co-create spaces where students can think critically, express authentically, and prototype their futures—through code, design, story, and beyond.
